Louisiana Rural Health Collective - Improving Healthcare for Louisiana's Rural Communities
As a newly formed statewide association for Rural Health Clinics, part of LaRHC’s overall mission is to preserve and expand the RHC program in our State and ensure a sustainable future for all existing and future RHCs.
Our Purpose
LaRHC was formed to consolidate and organize Louisiana’s RHCs into a statewide association for the following purpose:
Advocate for RHCs to government bodies, managed care organizations, businesses, and the public
Manage State and Federal funds to enhance RHC capabilities and improve rural healthcare
Influence legislation and policies for high-quality rural healthcare and reimbursement
Collect RHC population health data for analysis and public health interventions to improve rural Louisiana's health outcomes.
We provide resources and services to RHCs in Louisiana that aim to enhance their operational efficiency, impact legislative policy, increase RHC reimbursement rates, provide access to specialized healthcare services, promote high standards of care, improve population health outcomes, and establish a sustainable future for RHCs in Louisiana!

One of the most significant challenges facing rural communities is a lack of access to healthcare. Our non-profit organization is working to increase the number of rural health clinics, expand their hours of operation, and improve transportation options to help people in rural communities get the care they need.
-
RHCs often struggle to secure the funding and resources they need to provide high-quality care to their patients. Our non-profit organization will work to provide grants, loans, or other financial support, as well as training, technical assistance, and other resources to help these clinics operate more effectively.
-
RHCs often face unique challenges when it comes to policy and regulation. Our non-profit organization is working towards advocating on their behalf at the local, state, and national level to ensure that they have a voice in decisions that affect their operations and their patients.
-
There is a significant need for research into the health needs and outcomes of rural communities. LaRHC is steadily conducting research to help identify the most pressing health concerns and evaluate the effectiveness of different interventions.
-
Rural health clinics may feel isolated from other healthcare providers and resources. LaRHC is planning to facilitate networking and collaboration between clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations to share best practices and coordinate care.
